I want to torture them, take over for Mia. This is revenge owed to Mia. So, I did something I never do, I take a backseat, shove down my own rage and watch her carve words of truth into their skin. My mind keeps flashing to Willow and the fact that Mayrand beat her with full intention of raping her.

Mia steps back and sets the knife on the table as I hold the plastic bag in my hand, my next weapon.

She takes it from my hands, “Torture or quick kill?”

The corner of my mouth lifts into a quick grin, “Whatever you want to do you can do. But don’t kill Mayrand. I want that kill.”

I don’t just want it. I need it. I need to punish him for what he did, not only to my baby sister but to Willow.

I watch her approach Alec Kane and delight in his trembling in front of her.

“Last words?” She asked him.

“Mercy.”

She cackles a sinister laugh, “I will give you the same mercy you afforded me.”

She places the bag over his head. He holds his breath knowing breathing will make it quicker. Eventually, he has to take a big breath sucking the bag into his mouth but then she removes it. Once his breathing returns to normal, she starts over again. Tears run down his cheeks as she tortured him. When she removed the bag again, I step forward.

“I just want to know. Do you regret it now?”

He pants heavily, “I love my daughter.”

I punch him in his nose, blood drips down his pale face.

“That wasn’t my question.”

This is the part where they break down and apologize profusely for their sins. When they hope mercy will come. Some sort of pardoning will occur. If he held any love for his daughter this is when it would show.

“My daughter will be bought. You think you can keep her safe, but you can’t. She will be sold. She will be raped and beaten until her body gives out. I will be dead. You will have to live with her blood on your hands for the rest of your days.”

Then he smiles. He fucking smiles.

When he spoke, it was clear he felt nothing for her.

“Make those his last words, Mia. Kill him now or I will.”

She places the bag on his head, holding it tight at the back of his head. I watch while he turns blue and suffocates in only a couple of minutes. It still wasn’t the painful death he deserved. I couldn’t handle him breathing for a minute longer. What an absolute piece of shit. I would have liked to have kept him alive and tortured him for days. I knew I’d have Willow here soon and I didn’t want her to intervene. She would fight me on it. I haven’t known her long, but I do know her that well. It’s better to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission. Even after everything he’s responsible for, she’d have wanted him spared. Even knowing she could never be free with him living, still she would want him to be alive.
